Comments Thread For: Romero: Marinez Fought Like A P-ssy; Didn't Try To Win; Everyone Can See That

UNCASVILLE, Connecticut Rolando Romero doesn't understand all the criticism he has received since his controversial win against Jackson Marinez. The confident lightweight thinks his aggression and more effective punches proved to be the difference during their 12-round, 135-pound title fight August 15. Romero was willing to give Marinez the immediate rematch that the WBA ordered, but the Las Vegas native isn't about to apologize for his unanimous-decision victory five months ago at Mohegan Sun Arena.

That's always a sign a fighter got out boxed. I understand Romero is frustrated about not getting the rematch, wanting to get a convulsive win, but you can't blame Marinez for not taking the rematch after how the first fight was scored.

We see things differently. Judges are ringside and maybe not all corrupt.

You got taken to school! I dont care what the punch stats says 17 more punches or whatever. The whole world saw you lose! Romero is whack and I believe being with TMT gave him the nod from the judges. Tank and Garcia will beat his ass also.

...but NSB uses Compubox to determine who wins fights!

The why didn't he stand there & let me hit him accusation to the opponent who outboxed you is always a poor way to suggest you won.

From the sounds of it they were trying to fook him with a short notice rematch. If not for that bs Rollie could've gotten a chance to prove he could reverse the take most of us had in their first fight.

Respect to whoever gave Jackson an even bigger fight & Commey doe. You almost never see a guy who got screwed over by the judges get the bigger fight he deserved.
