Thurman was injured when he beat an undefeated Danny.

Danny was never the same after Thurman castrated him.

Castrated? He won a split decision in a close fight

Spence is better than Thurman and better than this version of Pacquiao.

His boxing IQ is too high, his body is too big, and he punches too hard.

He didn't "barely" beat Porter. He won a tough fight with a light skin WW Bradley. That's always going to be a tough fight for anyone. They fight ugly so it's never going to appear super easy and Spence never got taken off his game by Porter. He beat him without ever getting into danger, all the while dropping Porter.

          So, nah, I disagree.

There's enough evidence to show Spence is the real deal. If he fought Thurman, I'd expect him to beat him. If he fought Pacquiao, I'd expect him to win that as well.

If he were to lose to either. That's a massive upset and it's because Spence is that dude.

He did beat Porter comfortably. The judge that scored that fight for Porter was a moron.

Spence isn't hype. He's at the top of the frikin division. Why would you still call it hype? Perhaps lack of facing the opponents we want to see him face but that's not all on him. The politics in boxing do their usual f**k the fans but we've seen plenty of the goods from Spence to know he's top dawg of the division along with Crawford. Removing Pac from the equation, all the others in the division are a few levels below where they'll put up solid fights but not win against the top. I think I'll even throw Thurman down there these days. Garcia, Porter, Thurman. Yeah, they're just 2nd tier at this time if I had to consider Spence and Crawford Tier1 welterweights. Considering Pac beat Thurman I'd make a case for him to be part of tier 1 as crazy as that sounds but realistically at his age now, he's probably 2-3.

Okay so tier 1 fighter PACMAN,CRAWFORD and SPENCE.Okay so Pacman has skill but is past it and looking to fight mcgregor so he is out of the picture.
Therefore only crawford and Spence are left.
So so far spence has a better resume than Crawford so as we speak he is the man of welterweight.
I think he is worth the hype right now.
But guys watch out Jaren ennis and Vergil ortiz jr,two amazing prospect with amazing ko streak.
