The Mayweather money fights were bs. This fight is more valuable in a sense that it means 10 times more and in a sense will be historical being hw undisputed.

Though fury increased his popularity in the United States, it's not the same as having an American fighter. Even with boxing being the redheaded step child in the US, Wilder in an undisputed fight would make more money than the AJ vs Fury fight because you have 2 hws from 2 different countries as oppose to one. This fight would should have been made with wilder vs aj 2 years ago and that would have generated more revenue than aj vs fury.
You're right that the likely time of the fight and the all-British involvement will put a ceiling on what it can do in the US, but that doesn't neccessarily preclude doing 'Mayweather money' (which I would define as each fighter getting north of $100m). A lot depends on that site fee.

    Truly conservative numbers would be:
    UK: 1.5m buys at 25 quid = $52m
    Site fee: $40m
    US PPV: 200k buys at $80 = $16m
DAZN worldwide rights (I don't really know) but let's say $20m.

All together this is about $130m -- and not in Mayweather territory.

What I would call plausible/likely numbers:
    UK: 2m buys at 25 quid = $70m
    Site fee:$60m
    US PPV: 250k buys at $80 = $20m
DAZN worldwide (once again don't really know) , let's keep it at $20m

Together = $170m. Still not Mayweather numbers.

    Very optimistic numbers:
    UK: 3m buys at 30 quid = $126m
    Site fee: $100m
    US PPV: 500k buys at $80 = $40m
    DAZn worldwide rights: $50m

    Together: $316m.

That, I think, would possibly translate to $100m for each fighter. Those numbers are unlikely for the PPVs, but I think that site fee could possibly happen. Who knows how one of these oil kingdoms might value having a fight of this magnitude associated forever with their country?

Saudi Aramco generates profit of over $100 bn each year, so even something crazy like $200m would be a drop in the ocean for them.

I've already progressed in my career and education further than my parents and further Eddie Hearn could ever hope to do. But of course idiotic clowns like you see still competing with brokeman Warren despite being bestowed with an Olympic gold medallist and a broadcasting contract with the largest subscription service provider in the country, as impressive.

You do not think Wilder v Povetkin would sell half a million in Europe. The fight would take place in the afternoon but they could just delay the broadcast like they have done in the past. Even if the fight sold 300,000 in the US that is still a lot of money. You missed my entire point.

          1. I never forgot about anything regarding Fury because I am not obsessed with the man and know everything about him. Was he officially caught taking steroids? Do you have proof?

          2. Why would he need to waste his time fighting someone who he already feels he beat easy? Fury is trying to make the biggest HW fight in decades, why would you want him to waste his time fighting Wilder again?

          3. What makes you think he cheated in the rematch or even in the first fight? Do you think he took steroids and was not tested?

It's a fact that this is the biggest fight since Mayweather/Pacquiao and probably Lennox/Tyson before that.

Heavyweight boxing sells. The winner of this fight hands down becomes the biggest star in boxing.

This is where I feel a bit sorry for Canelo. He doesn't have a dance partner right now. But even if he did, casuals aren't interested in middleweights.
HW boxing doesn't sell when no one cares about the fighters. No one here cares about Fury or AJ, we don't relate to them. It's not the biggest fight since May Pac cause Canelo ggg was bigger than this

It's nonsense. Of course people care about the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship of the World.

Who would someone on this forum (reminder: a boxing forum) not care?
Yes, those two were actually celebrities as well as fighters. Fury is boring as all hell and both are uninteresting outside the ring. Only the UK cares. Some may watch here, but it won't do Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones numbers

Stop with the delusions. You've progressed nowhere. You can't even think in a rational way.

So you've made 10's of millions and run a very successful international business? Your bedsit and dole money says otherwise. You're just another sad case on the internet who can't even lie in a convincing fashion. Telling me you're the actual Queen of England would have been a better story and much more believable. That's how shlt your bullshlt is when i read it.

Who is competing with Warren? There needs to be competition for there to be some competing going on. Which there very much isn't.

Hearn had to have the capabilities Sky were looking for. It turns out he did as he revived Boxing in this country after Warren turned it into a small time show with fights that benefitted him and not the public. You only have to watch his shows to see this. They're garbage.

Hearn offered AJ the best deal. So many people went after AJ when he came from the Olympics. Seems it was the right decision as he's now a massive star with the best 24 fight resume in Heavyweight history. Plus, he's made a pretty penny and will be making a lot more where that came from.

It's called success. Something you'll only see on the TV and in your fantasies.

Why don't they go for ''Pac'' money ???

All things great is compared to what May has done.
                  May is the standard.
