Mayweather was one of the greatest boxers, but why must the WBC put any photos on the belt? I find it quite silly.

The WBC does do ****** things, like adding a bridgerweight or bridgerweight division, or a super heavyweight division. That is ridiculous and messes with the history of this sport. Marciano and Joe Louis fought men much bigger than them, and won, so we don't need any extra heavyweight division.

Nope. Not even close. He is on there because his son wants to immortalize his father. The founder was the then president at the time of Mexico Adolfo López Mateos along with a few others were the ones who created and founded the org. Jose was the longest reigning president though so there is that.

Do a little research. While I dislike how corrupt he became in his later years, Jose did expand the WBC and helped it become the premier belt and most coveted prize of boxing. He reigned for 38 years as president and did more for the organization than any other president before.

Weight classes have been added or changed throughout the history of boxing. This is not new. Cruiser used to be up to 190 pounds and was changed to be all the way up to 200. Going from 175 to 200 is a big gap. All this does is revert back to the old style of cruiser and introduce a new division in-between cruiser and HW like they should have done back in 2003.
