Ruiz has a great team behind him now so I seriously doubt he'd enter that trilogy a 280 pound blob like the second fight.
I feel like AJ know better now though. Ruiz should have took that 2nd fight more serious. Barring a mandatory, I dont see him getting a title shot in the foreseeable future, just because of how dangerous he is.

Yes he definitely made a smart adjustment in the second fight. Ruiz 20 pounds less than that night is a very good fighter aswell. I want to see it!
Look even if Ruiz does lose 20lbs he's still not got fast feet so AJ would most likely be able to beat him with movement again, Ruiz would probably have to get down to a career lowest to close the footspeed gap, but I imagine tha would effect his punch resistance.
But I want to see if AJ can beat Ruiz with authority, that's the question for me, can he actually put a hurting on Ruiz. I think he can but he'd have to be very smart to do it.

Good point AJ took a lot of flack on social media after the second fight. People saying he was a runner and whatnot. AJ should take the trilogy for personal pride!
