Lopez already said he will only do the fight for at least 10 million so I highly doubt he wants the fight. Plus they fight on different networks/platforms right?

Nobody calling out Haney because he hasn’t put in work and paid his dues. Lopez was calling out Lomochenko for 2 years and lomo said “hey kid get a belt and then we talk” Lopez fought commey and won a belt by destroying him in 2 rounds and after that Lomochenko gave him a chance to fight him for all the belts.

Haney hasn’t even done anything significant to fight Lopez and the guy is literally skipping the line just by word of mouth and being a “gym myth”.

To answer your question as well you build that resume by fighting true contenders and not guys like Gamboa who had no reason to get a WBC title shot in the first place. Fighting Fortuna is finally a good step for Haney to start a campaign at the champs at 135 but beating a 40 year old gamboa doesn’t get you a shot at the undisputed king at 135 Lopez FOH hahaha

Garcia KO Campbell, a guy who’s never been stopped and fought Linares and Lomochenko.

Tank beat Santa Cruz who to me wasn’t that good at all but still a 4 division champ and knocked him out.

Lopez beat the former P4P king Lomochenko and backed all the **** talk he and his pops were spewing.

What the hell makes Haney so special that going 12 rounds with Gamboa gives him a shot at any of these guys? Nobody respecting that WBC email belt cuzzo.

If the fight does happen I hope Lopez knocks Haney the **** out early so he can learn a lesson that he was never on that level

Let me simplify my question who should Haney fight in your opinion to get the credibility, in your opinion, to fight a champion such as Teofimo. Because before Teofimp fought Corey, his resume was no better than Haney's resume. And tbh the ONLY reason he got in with Lomenchenko was because they both fight under TopRank. U haters on here ALWAYS talk about resumes and who this guy fought that guy fought. Who should they fight??? I'm sure Haney, with his resume is at least Top5 in every alphabet organization. So WTF he gotta do. I ask u this same question last post u typed a bunch BS LIL HOMIE still ain't said SHIZT

I hope Lopez KO’s that paper champ but given the Gamboa and Burgos fights, the two best names on Haney’s resume, I think Haney has was it takes to runaway from Lopez enough to just lose a decision. But I don’t think his running style will be enough for Lopez. Lopez seems to be a good boxer and pressure fighter, and someone I don’t think ant 135-140 pound fighter should trade with.

Haney will outjab and outrun Lopez, while Lopez will throw and land the harder punches in more rounds. The fight will likely end up with Haney groupies saying Haney’s weak jabs were better than Lopez’s stronger, harder punches.

Another thing I look forward to is how much respect will Lopez have for Haney, who is not that big of a puncher and who was afraid of engaging with a 40 year old Gamboa who has been knocked down/out 15 times in career. He also didn’t show much firepower vs Burgos but I do not blame him for that as Burgos went 12 rounds with a prime 126 pound Mikey Garcia. This was at a time where Mikey was KO’ing everyone. With that said, I do mention Burgos anyway because that was 126lbs. Haney vs Burgos was 135lbs. That was Burgos first fight at the full 135lb limit. That was Haney’s 20th fight at 135lbs. Burgos also skipped 130lbs. So Haney could not drop or stop a Featherweight coming up to Lightweight. And he could not drop or stop a 40 year old Gamboa who has 15 KD’s/KO’s in his career and has also shown that he is too small for 135lbs. His lack of pop, in his first weight class, will be his downfall. I understand going up in weight and not being able to hurt guys anymore. But 135lbs is his first weight class, that is where you show your power.

He also can fight Nakatani,Lomochenko,Linares,Commey, Isaac Cruz, Alberto machado, Luke Campbell, **** even Jason Sosa. Even if all those names are on Top Rank they can make the fights happen because none of those guys are asking for more than $1 million and DAZN got the $$ but guess what DAZN invested in Haney and it isn’t making them a profit. That’s why Eddie Hearn is desperate to get Haney a fight with Garcia or Lopez since he knows he can’t be paying Haney millions for sparring sessions against Cuban waiters.

Also if Haney can’t fight those fights who’s fault is it really for him signing to DAZN and also he’s got his own promotional company so why can’t he do this by himself? Ohhhhh that’s right he actually needs a promoter to do the actual job.
