I rate Joyce highly but this is a terrible matchup for him stylistically.

Also, I don't care at all about the WBS stuff if anybody brings that up.
He really is, but he's a big dumb tard with an educated and powerful jab, underrated footwork and the kinda thudding power that does lasting damage even if he ain't really snappy enough for the one shot stops.

I like this fight, like it a lot. I know Usyk carved him up in the ammys but I think Joyce has developed into the pros and it's a lovely stylistic match-up.

You ever read White Fang by Jack London? The dogfight sequence between White Fang and 'Cherokee'? Well, I dunno if it'll quite play the same - in the story the slower but relentless Bulldog eventually caught up with the mercurial Wolfdog - but same kinda idea.

The bull-dog was bleeding back of one ear from a rip in his thick neck. He gave no sign, did not even snarl, but turned and followed after White Fang. The display on both sides, the quickness of the one and the steadiness of the other, had excited the partisan spirit of the crowd, and the men were making new bets and increasing original bets. Again, and yet again, White Fang sprang in, slashed, and got away untouched, and still his strange foe followed after him, without too great haste, not slowly, but deliberately and determinedly, in a businesslike sort of way. There was purpose in his method - something for him to do that he was intent upon doing and from which nothing could distract him.
Beauty Smith slipped the chain from his neck and stepped back. For once White Fang did not make an immediate attack. He stood still, ears pricked forward, alert and curious, surveying the strange a...

No...you did not underestimate Joe Joyce. Daniel Dubois was NEVER any good and as soon as the fight was made I predicted he was gonna quit because he's not built for "real competition". Joyce is still slow and lethargic and leaves way too many openings for his opponent to hurt him badly. Joyce is not gonna be a major player globally....maybe in the British market but not world level.

Honestly this a good fight for each joyce isnt good doesnt belong with top 5 convo n well usyk seems to be a bridgerweight at best. Truthfully joyce hughie fury n charles martin level its a pickem vs usyk yet when get to the ruiz parker ortiz level well i dont favor usyk. Anyways long story short as long as usyk doesnt go higher than joyce breazele charles martin before get shot at champ usyk should be ok n an ugly fight

Lol...now everybody thinks Joyce has the best jab in the heavyweight division.....but have you stopped to think that maybe...just maybe Daniel Dubois is just a really weak fighter? Just a thought lolol

Joyce showed he's not quite the joke he was talked about as here & elsewhere vs DDD, but I think its a harder road to get past Usyk than it was DDD. Usyk gots more gears than DDD had. That said Usyk has seemed to have growing pains at HW, although not entirely unexpected. I lean Usyk 60/40 but I'd probably be Usyk 70/30 if not for that impressive W vs DDD so that fight went a long way towards legitimizing Joyce to me.

5 years ago, this woud have been good match up. Joyce has declined.

On Usyk, he can take a good punch, and has plenty of stamina to go the distance. Things about him at are underrated. I suspect he'll win a decision here as he's too fast and skilled for Joyce.

Joyce can take a punch and Usyk doesn't seem to have much power at HW so I see 60/40 Usyk or even 55/45 Usyk.
