If there is another boxing organizaiton/world title to be legitimize next is IBO, Tarver is/was the champ, i believed PBF Mayweather also is a champ(not sure).

The WBU will never be legitimized - we don't need anymore of these worthless alphabet belts.

Hatton has vacated the WBU title.

The WBU has 4 Champions at the moment. Gary Lockett (Middle), Wayne Alexander (Light-middle), Takaloo (Welter) and Stephen Foster Junior (Feather). All 4 are, sadly, from Britian and all 4, not surprisingly, are currently Frank Warren fighters.

In the thread regarding the WBO a few people said that Oscar De La Hoya made the WBO legitimized. Although I see where they are coming from I disagree. Even if one fighter can make a belt not one current WBU title holder will make boxing history. However, that's another agruement. As more fans get behind the Ring Magazine title even the WBC, WBA and IBF become less important so the WBU has no chance.

The IBO is mentined above and it has got the following Champions,

            Wlad Klitschko,
Bernard Hopkins, (has he offically retired yet?)
            Joe Calzaghe,
            Raymond Duval,
            Attila Kovacs,
            Floyd Mayweather Jr,
            Gairy St. Clair,
            Thomas Mashaba,
            Takalani Ndlovu,
            Rafael Marquez,
            and
            Vic Darchinyan.

Some good/decent names on there but Wlad Klitschko,Marquez and Darchinyan are better known as the IBF champions.

Hopkins and Calzaghe are the Ring magazine champion and therefore the true Champions and Floyd's Welterweight belts (WBC and IBO) are meaningless when most boxing fans know Baldomir is the Champion.

Naz and Calzaghe are and have been the long running WBO champions! That does'nt mean they legitimised it. They just legitimised themselfs by being popular and fighting half decent fighters..... Well sometimes anyway
