Why can't anybody have any respect any more? Teo isn't a king, he beat Loma who isn't a lightweight???
Well both are better Lightweights than Luke Campbell and I'm sure if Ryan beat Loma and Lopez his daddy would be demanding alot more respect than he's willling to give Teo right now.
And to say all that they are actually calling out somebody who just fought at 130 and has only beaten 1 cripple at 135 so far in his career, Tank Davis.
I'm excited for the talent pool at 135 right now but it doenst seem to be bring any levels of respect with it. There is nothing wrong with praising fighters and claiming they could beat them. I don't really see the point in saying they are nothing special cuz when you beat them it can't be seen as something special cuz you just told us they ain't nothing special.
You have to give him respect where its due tho right now Lopez is the king of lightweight division even tho I have a feeling Loma would win in a rematch .Everyone just need to fight eatch other and see who comes out on top
The only point of contention at 135 is caused by the WBC creating that "franchise" designation, then allowing it to be passed on. So whilst Lopez is their franchise champion and won it in the ring, they also recognise Haney as their champion? Lopez won all the other titles so, he beats Haney and there can be no doubt he is then "the king at 135", although personally, after beating Loma, I think he already is!
Suddenly people forget who Loma is. I would not be surprised if he comes back and clean the devision with all these young guns including Lopez in the rematch, if it happens down the road. Even though undersized, but healthy Loma is the king of 135.
The most fundamental aspect one should be focused on is that the lightweight division is currently one of the best in terms of fighters, and fortunately brings a lot of excitement, from my prospective at least. Ofcourse the key element involves in those boxers actually facing each other.
Can you imagine witnessing Garcia vs Lopez?! Absolutely fascinating!
And in my opinion it was more of a draw. I'd like to know Teo/Loma weights walking in the ring. Teo looked like he'd ate the whole buffet @ MGM after weigh in.
I like Garcia but don't know that he's quite ready. Atleast he is a respectable young man. He has a bright future.
I believe Lopez does to, just not a fan.
So the father of Ryan who just beat the guy who lost to the guy that Lopez beat, is saying that Fimo ain’t the king of LW? So who is? Is he saying this a division with an empty throne?
Tank and Ryan seem to me they wanna fight each other but avoid Haney and Lopez.
Tank was actually calling himself a lightweight world champ?!! Madness. Absaloute madness.
