Ortiz is a true student. Like his music, he's mostly liking learning some new techniques to show us in the ring. I can't wait to see him fight again. We should see more glimpses of greatness and composure.

I like Ortiz but he's got to fight somebody. I'm sick of these guys saying they want all the champs then go out and face "Marco Guardalupe" in their next fight LOL.

Boots chin is untested but he does have exceptional talent, and seem to always be in great shape, how well does he take it though? He’s always allowing himself to get careless with all the razzel dazzle playing, and how will that go against a seasoned veteran counter puncher like Crawford? Just my thoughts
Jaron Ennis vs Sergey Lipinets reportedly in the works for April

            January 18, 2021:

Top welterweight prospect Jaron Ennis missed out on a step-up fight last month, but he’s apparently already got eyes on another one. Steve Kim reports that a clash between “Boots” and former super lightweight champion Sergey Lipinets “is being discussed for April.”

Ennis (26-0, 24 KO) was supposed to face Thomas Dulorme on Showtime’s December 12th Raymart Gaballo-Emmanuel Rodriguez card, only for Chris Van Heerden to step in when the Puerto Rican veteran contracted COVID. The pair got to fight for just under three minutes before a clash of heads split Van Heerden’s forehead open and forced a halt.

Fortunately, he’ll almost certainly get the test he was after against Lipinets (16-1-1, 12 KO), who’s seemingly found his footing at 147 pounds after a shaky start. Knockouts of Lamont Peterson and Jayar Inson set up an IBF eliminator against Kudratillo Abdukakhorov, which fell through due to the Uzbek’s visa issues. He instead faced unheralded Custio Clayton, with whom he warred over 12 rounds en route to a majority draw.

Though not truly “elite,” Lipinets is tough as nails and willing to throw down with just about anyone. That’s a perfect test for Ennis, who’s thus far bulldozed everyone with little issue.

Hooker wants to move up. Blames his last few performances and loss to the weight struggle. The Prograis fight got cancelled because Hooker and his team felt he couldn’t make a 143lb catchweight last I heard. He looked flimsy at 140. Dunno about fighting a massive guy like Ortiz in his first fight, nvm that the kid punches well above his weight, but a move up seems like a good idea for him.

Ortiz should be able to stop him quicker than ramirez did.

If Crawford has any guts at all he'll fight Ortiz who would be his biggest most lucrative fight even though Ortiz is unknown, hes mexican,& would be given a great chance to win relative to his age so the mexican American public with jump on to that hypetrain with both feet.

Crawford constantly cries about not having opponents available, well Ortiz would earn him massive respect by the entire boxing world like he would've earned if Benevidez wasn't debilitated in 1 leg.
"because Mexicans bring in PPV" .... You do realize that of the top ten PPV/closed circuit sales list 6 are black, 2 mexicans and one white and asian. Just thought I'd throw some facts in there.
