until now so many people are in shock that a grandfather, part time boxer, a full time senator, old, past his prime pacquiao beat the top ww who is a champion, undefeated, prime, bigger, stronger and younger in thurman.

Thank you for proving my point friend. Regardless of how it happened. Not really anything to raise eyebrows about. George's career was nice, but fails in comparison to Mannys. I was just throwing a name out related to the age similarity, as asked by OP.

Bernard Hopkins is the best example. After 35 he knocked out the undefeated De La Hoya and Trinidad. Beat the undefeated Pavlik and Cloud. Beat young prime contenders into his late 40's.

Can't believe that was almost 10 years ago. I ordered the fight with my college roommates. Thought something crazy would happen. Called Marquez to knock him out in the mid rounds (I was just trolling - didn't actually think it would happen). Was treated as the house's boxing expert after that.

Pac is fighting once a year. SRR fought 9 times when he turned 40. 40 today in the 2 fights per year era is not the same as being 40 decades ago.
