Really interesting bloke, his autobiography is a good read
Who remembers Herbie Hide?

His fighting style was very similar to Ali, he was called ¨the dancing destroyer¨ for a reason
He was like a version of Ali, with more power but way less chin, dude was packing a glass jaw
To me, he's a proof that H2H GOAT Vitali Klitschko could have handed Muhammad AliComment

Other than not having the combination punching ,jab ,balance ,defence and stamina. He was light hes feet but no other similarity to Ali at all.His fighting style was very similar to Ali, he was called ¨the dancing destroyer¨ for a reason

Vitali h2h beats 99.9% of heavyweights ever....BUT...come on bro, Ali?His fighting style was very similar to Ali, he was called ¨the dancing destroyer¨ for a reason
He was like a version of Ali, with more power but way less chin, dude was packing a glass jaw
To me, he's a proof that H2H GOAT Vitali Klitschko could have handed Muhammad Ali
Other than physical advantages what does vitali have that Ali doesn’t? Could vitali catch him? Maybe, but Ali would of boxed the hell out of him.Comment

Oh, A body shot, and an uppercut, plus a left hand that could do damage?
Ali was not away in shape and probably lost more rounds to Kenny Norton than Vitaii did in his pro career.
Quite a few men who were not 6'7 1/2" inches out boxed or nearly out boxed Ali. They are Doug Jones, Kenny Norton, Ron Lyle, Jimmy Young, and Larry Holmes.Comment

We go from Price to Fury? A prime Povetkin beats both, and a past his prime Povetkin badly Ko'd Price.I'd slightly favour him, but Price has a better jab and more than enough power to sleep Herbie very early. If Price had 20 more seconds in the round he knocked Povetkin all the way across the ring, he likely would have won that. Povetkin was still affected staring the next round.
Maybe not prime Povetkin, but I'd still certainly pick that version of Povetkin to deal with Herbie Hide quite easily.
But talk of Hide beating the likes of Fury is laughable. Fury beat him with one arm and no training camp. Hughie Fury would beat Herbie Hide, never mind Tyson.
On Fury, he beat an older disinterested 39 year old man in Wlad, and 35 year old Wilder, who really can't fight. His resume is thin when you consider how long he's been doing it. How many Men has be beaten in the top 10 defined by Ring Magazine? Just two? See my point.
I would not write off Hide from upsetting Fury, as he has been down and shaken up a few times by lesser fighters.
Hide had fast hands and could punch. Faster hands than than Fury, and more power than Fury has for sure.
What I saying point black is Fury's not a very durable fighter. If Cunningham can rock your world and tier two Russian floors you and other one stuns you well...Comment

If Herbie Hide steps inside the ring with Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder 'He is having no issues, finding the target'.
None of these guys have elite level speed, Herbie Hide was a extremely fast and spiteful puncher etc
Any heavyweight with that much speed, athleticism and power would be a danger until 'His opponent got him out of there'.
Who are the fighters in this era, who can actually throw combinations with speed? There are really only two fighters who can put their punches together, Joshua & Ruiz Junior 'All the rest are clumsy and all over the place'.
Tyson Fury does give it a go, in most area's of the game 'But as I have stated before? His inside game is still clumsy, no idea why he referred to himself as Rid**** Bowe type fighter in the past'.
Note: You can see the highlights of Herbie Hide up above, so go on then 'Show the highlights of fighters today, who have that type of speed and can actually throw spiteful combinations'.
This era is full of fighters who are big and that is it 'Big and most of them are not even solid at the weight'.
You may bring up a fighter like Povetkin, but he is actually a old school type of fighter.Last edited by PRINCEKOOL; 01-18-2021, 06:39 PM.Comment

Stop smoking crack. Who did Vitali beat to even make you assert the ludicrous statement? He couldn’t even beat a washed up & out of shape Lennox Lewis. Some of you just create fantasies in your heads based on hype.Comment
