Lol the hate Canelo brigade is alive and well. The dude is literally going to fight a three fight schedule of which will see him fight two champions to unify and it’s still not enough.

BS truly does have some of the most mentally stunted folks that comment on any forum I’ve seen.

The hate is coming from one special side, just look at the posters who are hating on him. He should be the only one doing all the work, whilst the guys they cape for would be in showcase fights after showcase fights, no challenges.... Until he gets 50% fro Canelo....GTFOH

Smith and Saunders were aways acceptable fights to dazn but clearly they preferred golovkin for obvious reasons. Saunders (and smith previously) has added benefit now given they have launched worldwide and potential uk market to start downloading the app. This is obviously more recent.

Canelo isn’t with Eddie so it can also be a case of dazn taking a fight or letting it go to another network, they won’t have as much choice at all now on opponent. None of us know yet if that opponent, or any opponent - is chosen yet anyway.

We know Canelo was offered a TWO fight deal by PBC, first was the Yildrim fight (He is under PBC), and the second was meant to be Charlo at a catchweight of 164.

But those fights would be on PPV, in this climate Canelo is saving his fans 150 dollars for both fights. Because he would probably make less if those fights was to be on PPV on Fox/Showtime.

It’s pretty simple to figure out.

DAZN was refusing to pay $40 mill a fight.

They knew by whispering in Canelo ear they could get him for $15-20 Mill & get him out of his contract with Goldenboy.

Meanwhile, they refused to follow through on their other dates with Goldenboy, they were holding all of their other fighters hostage until Goldenboy released Canelo.

So criticising a BJS fight over Plant isn't been objective. At least BJS has beaten better opposition than Plant. What does Plant have over BJS? And am NOT even a BJS fan, i think he is a wasted talent, and hasn't done s hit himself.

But i can still say he beat Andy lee, Le mule, Eubank etc at 160, has he done anything at 168? Nah, just like Plant, so when i see all of these idiots, who tries to criticise Canelo for fighting BJS, i always ask them, who are the options better than BJS?

Benavidez lost his title on the scales, and he is the one i think has the better potential at 168, but like Tank Davis he just doesn't live the life.

And Canelo just beat Callum smith.. So no point trying to downplay BJS, when the options at 168 are meh...

Ok so plant just recently won a title so I guess the demand to fight the better opposition hasn't been there, saunders held a title since 160, lee is a good win but a little context goes some way, it's a solid win but it wasn't the lee he once was, context, he's a name at the point..eubank hasn't had a win that separates him but he has a good promoter and he's marketed well.. so *******'s been riding that lemiux win, who was rated highly AT THE TIME of the fight

Sign me up for that. Essentially getting BJS/Plant done in one year is pretty damn good.

But I don't want to see Plant just wait until September for the Canelo showdown. The Benavidez fight needs to happen ASAP and then the winner can face off against Canelo. Pretty much Canelo is holding the division hostage since no one wants to take a risk until they get a fight with the cash cow.

Now, I hope Hearn tries to make Andrade vs GGG. I understand GGG is likely to face off against Munguia, but the better fight is against Andrade. We all know how the Munguia fight goes. It is about time that Andrade gets a big time scrap. DAZN has had majority of the big names at MW and SMW and Andrade has not fought any of them.

Benevidez doesn’t deserve a shot at anything until he can prove once again that he is a professional and serious about the sport. What promoter in their right minds would take the risk to schedule a fight with someone who was stripped for drugs and then again on the scales?

You'll get no argument for me on that but a Plant vs Benavidez fight would a great fight to watch IMO and the build up should be second to none.

Agree! Posted weeks ago Plant and Benavidez should fight for the shot at Canelo. Also think BJS and Andrade should go ahead and fight for the shot at Canelo as well. Makes those fights Bigger!

Take Risk before you land the big fights instead of your first big test is vs the Best P4P then you get destroyed and completely waste everybody damn time and money and we get stuck with yet another mismatch hyped up as some damn Mega Fights

Not mad at Canelo, why not keep taking Eddie's EASY MONEY! Props to Eddie, he is literally Carrying DAZN right now by keeping Canelo on the Platform. Maybe Eddie can Convince him to do the GGG Trilogy as well, I wouldn't count that out. Forget Yildirim, would rather the 2 Fight Deal be BJS in May and let him go ahead and retire GGG in September so people can STFU about that fight finally

Yildirim and BJS is EASY WORK for Canelo...EASY! After that then he can take that Fox Sports/PBC Deal for the Plant unification bout

And then after that take care of that easy pbc money.
