Plant doesn't seem in a rush and I think that's smart. Concentrating on his development and his own career and not just desperately trying to cash out.

Very true, gives him time to find his baseline on that stamina that showed to be an issue with Uzcategui, which I think was more a pacing issue. He moved a little too much too early and his legs got tired. Plant may be the type who overtrains too....I’ve seen his regimen and it’s brutal and he has zero body fat which means no stores for later in the fight. I’m no CSCS but I think his program might need adjusting....either that or he may need to move to light heavy sooner rather than later. He’s a big super middleweight

This guy has already been offered this fight and turned it down not once but twice. This guy likes to stay relevant by mentioning Canelo, but not fighting Canelo, and the name throwing usually comes before him fighting a C level fighter to drum up interest in a fight that has no interest. It's almost the same thing Bob and Crawford do before their fights. Their just throwing name's around.

Plant does seem to love to talk about fighting Canelo considering he's turned 2 fights down so far. If I didnt know any better I'd begin to wonder if he is just clout chasing.

I like both boxers very much however Plant is doing this on his terms and not on short notice as seems to be a troubling pattern with Canelo. He wants a full training camp and I respect him for this. That isn’t “clout chasing” that’s called a professional that knows what he wants, when he wants it and not just for a payday.

Plant is always avoiding David Benavidez with different excuses. He fought bums like Lee and Feigenbutz and now Truax. His only good win is vs Uzcategui and the latter was not concentrated in the fight, basically wanted Plant to win. if you actually read this article and many others on this site, you’d know that there was never any actual offer made to plant. So perhaps it’s canelo team that’s throwing out names.
