  • Idea to unify titles into one belt

Make The Ring belt the only world title and rename it as World Title.

Get Hearn to buy into Ring Magazine with Oscar and keep it within DAZN for 10 years. Work with local boards and commissions across all countries to ensure standardized PED testing for all licenced fighters.

Unify as many alphabet titles as possible over time only on DAZN (a few years) and then immediately vacate them all which makes them paper titles and not recognised by fans and media.

Eventually all the titles held hostage on other networks will have been moved to DAZN through unification.

Make the champion defend their title once every 6 months or lose it.

With this plan you maintain the lineage of all four sanctioning bodies unified under one World Title but you only ever get one champ per division.

After 10 years all belts will be condensed into one title.

and then make the Ring World Champion and UFC Champions go at it to become the Super World Champion

The problem is that promoters wont really benefit from that (short term) because they have incentives to remain status quo.

At the end of the day it's easier to promote someone who holds a belt than someone who doesnt. Promoting a card with "3 title fights on the card" still is a selling point.

If it's back down to 1 belt, it becomes much more difficult for a promoter to navigate their fighters to become champions.

and DAZN still can't figure out how to plug in the right audio cables half the time amongst other things

TBH I don't like Ring or TBRB anymore than I do any of the bodies.

Ring's got flavor of the month style ratings and silly defense clauses. The were the last to stripe Tyson for a reason, they're ****.

The idea of having 4 or 5 belts and multiple number of categories is simply idiotic. It kills boxing.

My feelings exactly. The sport is forever tainted.
