Someone who puts you to sleep isn't that special. I reserve judgment for now. Haney needs to up his comp so we can maybe see what you see.

Right now, I don't see much. He says he can beat anyone at 135, do it. Even Hearn isn't that confident.

Imagine what PBF would have done to a 39 year old Gamboa...
It's one thing to have aspirations but Haney obviously has lots of work to do in the meantime. He can start by winning impressively against his mandatory, Javier Fortuna, especially since it looks like Ryan Garcia is headed in another direction for right now.

Javier Fortuna would be a good start.

Gamboa vs PBF at 130 would have been war.
I think the fight would have played out similarly to how Gamboa's fight with Crawford did.

Floyd (PBF) would have a tremendous height and reach advantage to counteract Gamboa's explosiveness

Agreed. Remember, you can put Gamboa down but he won't stay down as many times as you put him down. His heart is something else. I see a shootout, where Floyd stops him, or a UD. I lean on the latter.

The sound of the punches Davis was putting him down with sometimes terrorize me when they come to mind.

            War Gamboa!

Haney can beat anybody but it’s going to boring decisions and nobody is going to pay for that and want to tune in.

If the future of boxing is Haney and Shakur Stevenson then boxing is going to lose viewers. Nobody going to pay $80 to watch pitty Pat sparring sessions

                  What’s his best win?

You don’t prove yourself to be “special” by fighting C level fighters.

Agreed man. If Garcia goes another direction, that’s the fight to make.

Well everyone has to come up through the ranks and now Haney needs a B-level opponent like Javier Fortuna to prove that he’s more than an “email champion”.

It’s not his fault that he was gifted the belt but winning impressively against his mandatory would raise his stock.
