Zu is a serious threat to win. Non-stop punching and some pop too. Height and reach when he uses it.

Negotiations for a Warrington vs Stephenson fight was attempted several times quite a while back but no agreement could be reached.

Warrington is now back with Eddie Hearn and about to fight Xu Can.

Shakur gave up his WBO Featherweight title (Navarrete is now the WBO champ) to move up to Super Featherweight and is the mandatory for the winner of Herring vs Frampton.

Josh Kelly has never been hit flush by anyone who can really punch and Avanesyan can really punch - as his last 3 fights show.

IMO if Kelly continues with this hands down rubbish he'll be stopped at some point.
Even if he somehow survives, Avanaesyan has boxed at a higher level than Josh and could very well outpoint him.

I'm rather doubtful that boxing will restart in the UK in mid-Feb.

Even if the current lockdown ends in mid-Feb, which is by no means certain, even a reduction to Tier 4 over England won't allow boxing to restart in England. It is the UK government who will say when boxing can restart not the BBBofC.

Looking forward to the main event

I think Xu has a shot - even if all they do is go toe-to-toe, I think that over time, Xu is going to look like the more adept fighter in that area - he got a nice rhythm and he takes angles and hovers around when he is fighting on the inside.

If Warrington cannot back him up and now Xu is able to move Warrington back, then Xu's length becomes a factor - he ain't the best boxer but he can put a combination together at range too..

We’ll see what adjustments Kelly has made. He struggled against Ray Robinson. Avanesyan will be an even tougher test.

Not in his pro fights so far he hasn’t been caught clean, but plenty times in sparring and the amateurs, granted not the same but trust me I’ve seen him hit hard and not phase him

What people don’t realise he has two styles, back in the day as a kid he was a come forward brawler who stood toe to toe and had a tear up, he loves it.

But because he doesn’t need to he now try’s to box and use those flashy skills but he keeps having to work on it, not slipping back into that old style.

I think that’s why he’s been know to switch off in fights because his style isn’t actually natural to him, he has to be thinking all the time

February 13 is a month away, and the fight isn't even signed? Not happening.

Xu vs Watrington really should happen! I could only imagine how that weekend and the following weekend Valdez vs Berchelt can ruin any future excitement in boxing. How can there be anything to top those two bouts unless the 175 division leaders start to get a taste of each other? I guess the Kelly fight interests me only to see him get knocked t.f.o! What a lazy kid who refuses to improve on the fundamentals of boxing. All the while recieving gifts from judges. But just like the new hype being thrown at us from the lightweight and super lightweight divisions, there isn't anyone to get behind and truly root for. That's because they're all punks. Overhyped punks with ugly bad arritudes spewing garbage from their mouths. Get tired watching to see one lose instead of watching to see someone win!
