Wladimir accomplished way more and he deserves it.

It’s not like Cotto isnt getting in though. Gatti got in the hall too so it’s no big deal nowadays.

    HOF definitely lost its prestige

Cotto has the better resume and was much more skilled. He did not rely on a size advantage and could box outside and inside. He beat different styles in different ways and had many many more tools.

Wlad. Cotto is the most overrated fighter of the last 20 years.

Wlad was the boss at heavyweight for a long ass time. It was a weak division for sure, but still, he was the division kingpin unrivalled by anyone other than his brother. Between beating Samuel Peter and losing to Tyson Fury, a period that spans a whole decade, he was basically untouchable - nobody even came close to beating him.

Cotto was a very talented, exciting and popular fighter but he was unlucky to live in the shadow of the likes of Mayweather and Pacquiao. He was a top-flight elite guy, but he was never THE guy except for the brief period at MW between beating Martinez and getting dethroned by Canelo.

Really, both deserve to get in though. Even though it was a ridiculously crowded year for inductees I still think it's pretty ****** that Cotto didn't get in. The rules might need another look, there's a backlog of deserving fighters that've been left out.

                    That’s a joke right?
Arturo Gatti was the definition of a blood and guts warrior. He gave us what is considered the greatest round in boxing history.
He showed more heart, courage & passion than 99.99% of fighters ever have. That’s why he’s in the hall of fame... come on man.
