Too much emphasis is placed on KOs, even when it's called boxing, the sweet science. Haney may not have one punch power, but he can take your picture. A jab is as good as a flash when it works. And getting slapped all night makes a guy wish it was over. It leaves long lasting damage, not like Whyte, he woke up with no memories.

Why did Ryan Garcia fight for the interim WBC title against Campbell if he had no intention of fighting Haney for the full WBC title?

There is no need for Garcia to rush into a fight with Davis for a title at this point in his career when he is entitled to a fight with Haney.

I just can't help thinking that this has something to do with trying to move from the WBC to the WBA where he can avoid VADA testing - just as Davis has since fleeing as fast as he could from the WBC once the CBP was introduced.

The WBA has a CBP program & requires VADA too,only the pos WBO doesnt require VADA or anything for that matter.

I'm a Haney fan and I must say he shit the bed in the Gamboa fight a couple months back. That's what held him back from being elevated to some level of notoriety in the division.

I like the guy but he feels he's done more in the sport than he's actually done. It's bad enough he's been given a belt that Loma owned until Teo lifted it from him, so nobody knows f he's the real champ.

He's done nothing but train and flash his possessions as though he's Floyd but hasn't done what Floyd's done.

How did Loma own a belt that vacated to avoid the Haney fight?

Teo doesn't hold the highest belt. It's not even a title it's a designation. The WBC doesn't recognize Teo as the champ. Go look at THEIR website and see whi they have listed as the lightweight champ. Also, no other sanctioning body recognized the french fries champion either.
