How about organizations actually ranking fighters based on how good they are regardless if they have a title in another organization or not? Wbc having Yidilgrim ranked as a #1 contender when there are several guys better than him is ****** and forces fans to watch a fight that nobody gives a flying fook about.

Mandatories are what keeps the sport honest -- the notion that if you are good enough you can fight your way to a title shot. If the problem is too many mandatories for unified champs, then the obvious solution is fewer sanctioning bodies and thus fewer belts. One belt, one champ, one mandatory at a time. Failing this, the sanctioning bodies can talk to each other and be reasonable about rankings.

If there are four sanctioning bodies all saying there are 4 different number ones contenders then they are creating the problem.

Sulaiman has already tried to sidestep mandatories with his franchise belt for Canelo and it has just made the situation more muddled and less fair.

Good idea! The Interim Bronze belt is earned when you are 3 fights away from from a title eliminator. The title eliminator match will be fought via Gmail.

Great Idea!!! Sulaiman wbc and the rest of the sanctioning bodies are only in it for $$$. They care nothing about making the best fights or us, the fans.

WBC is a crooked organization but in the 4 Belt era it's getting more difficult to unify when you have possibly 3 mandatories due and even forced via contract to rematch the person you just won the belt from.

One solution is to get rid of all of the belts except one which isn't going to happen. The other would be to have a boxing alliance of some kind between all the major boxing countries to create one champion that ignores the Boxing Organizations altogether.

WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO all need to sit down and make some new Rules since none of these Belt Organizations are going away and fighters seem to love these Belts and continue to fight for them and continue to pay big fees for them. So make some new Rules!

Stop eliminating fighters out of the other Belt Organization Rankings once they win a Championship with another Belt Organization that would be a Game Changer! Also Mandatory's need to be earned not given to the highest bidders. By the time a fighter is #1 Contender we should know them very well because they would've been in some tough Eliminators vs the other fighters that are in that Belt Organization Rankings. How in the F^CK are guys getting #1 Mandatory without fighting any of the other Top 10-15 Ranked Fighters in those Belt Organization? That is because Rankings positions are being SOLD and not Earned!

                only 1 champ per division

in my dream solution: Eliminate the 105 division. Have a lottery to randomly select which sanctioning org gets which divisions. Each sanctioning org only gets to govern 4 divisions. Example, the WBC may end up with Heavy, middle, light, and fly.

I think unifications/undisputed should be what every fighter strives for. Unifications should be allowed to take precedence over mandatories. At that point you got 2 guys that both have a claim at the unified champ, who should be 1st up? Why is 1 guy more important than the other? So if fighter A gets the fight that means fighter B probably has to wait a year before his shot so no matter what someone is getting screwed. Now if they can fight each other they stay active and winner is guaranteed chance at 2 belts instead of one.

Agreed 100%. I personally don't recognize any belts.
