Oscar's not just old, his body and mind have been wracked by years of drug abuse, and that's not even taking into account the fact that he was never really hard-punching or durable enough to hang at middleweight to begin with - Hopkins completely destroyed him and Hopkins wasn't a monster puncher at MW like Golovkin is. I think that Oscar's going through a bit of a midlife crisis and needs to set his head straight and focus on righting the slowly-sinking ship that his promotional outfit is. I also don't think Golovkin should be entertaining this nonsense either, you don't let a mentally ill guy goad you into a pointless fight, it's a lose-lose situation. Now that Canelo's left MW behind he should be focusing either on fighting the likes of Charlo and Andrade to try and reestablish himself as the division's kingpin, or if he wants to fight Canelo again he needs to figure out how to start a campaign at 168. He's long in the tooth now and doesn't have time for wasteful fights.

he might be just able to take apart a pair of fishnets but he can't take apart a G-stringComment

Don't think anybody is discouraging him but when you mention fighting GGG, a known knockout artist that hurts people, it's different than fighting some cab driver for a quick dollar.Comment

Oscar is that you? Either it is, or you’re a weirdo groupie of a fishnet wearing coke whore.Comment
