Andy was a massive, all puns intended, underdog. Hand picked, over paid, and under estimated. In this case, Campbell was the presumed victim, he should be equated more with Andy, than with AJ. When Andy knocked AJ down, he went to work, jumped on him, even after eating all of AJs right hand. Luke knocked Ryan down and got scared, afraid of getting caught, that's what he said, the A word. Afraid.

ALL KO artists know when someone gets stunned vs hurt badly. After assessing some take their time and use patience and probe to see if someone is truly hurt. Immediately after getting knocked down he gets to his feet, doesn’t disengage, flat footed again and ready to counter which he did. Like felt the counters and knew exactly he wasn’t ready for the kill.

That’s the difference between a seasoned professional and an observer. The professional knows when someone is ready to go
Okay buddy. Being cautious didn't prevent him from being KO'ed. The guy has had three meaningful fights and has come up short in all of them. He had moments in all three where the opponents were somewhat hurt and he never attempted to capitalize. The common theme in all of them, he played it safe and lost all three. He never gave himself a chance to win.

Afraid, cautious, that part is just semantics to me but I get your point. Most people feel that he should have gone all out even if that's not his main strength.

Others feel that he got the knockdown by being strategic and that he was right to continue that.

One thing that shouldn't be debatable is whether or not Ryan was ready to go. He appeared to be clear-headed with steady legs just like Andy Ruiz was when he got up from that knockdown.

I do understand the perspective of those who feel that you should attack with a "him-or-me" mentality in that situation. To each his own.

Joshua jumped in with reckless abandon, no jabs, no feints. No one is saying he should do that. Every seasoned boxer or boxing head will tell you either feint or probe with your jab. Touch him to at least get a sense of where his head his. He is what he is, thats why he was picked as an opponent.

I understand that, and if there was ever a time to be bolder than normal then that was it for Campbell. Oh well, he made his choice in the moment and it sounds like he's willing to live with the results.

Campbell was talking like a beaten man before the fight. He was forever walking around with a hang dog attitude. I tried to talk him up, but some guy told me, not even his relatives believed in him. There's a name for it. Sparring mentality, where "the kill" isn't allowed.

Hate to say it but you blew it, Luke. Ryan was buzzed for a good 20 to 30 secs after the KD and had you jumped on him and unloaded hell I doubt he would've withstood it. You didn't and the rest is history. Shades of Tyson Bruno 1, obviously Frank never dropped the prime Iron Mike but he rocked him and stood off.

Not sure what some of these guys are talking about, Luke fought a good fight. He was just outgunned.

Easy to say what could have happened when we are not the one’s in there catching that lightning quick hook. Ryan is an impressive puncher in that weight class. Luke was shelled up as soon as he felt the power. Great fight but your guy was outgunned.

Lol Ryan did not recover "instantly" like most his diehard fans are saying he was looking up at the clock for the rest of the round while trying to gather his bearings he wasn't on the verge of being knocked out but he was still hurt and could've been dropped again if Luke pressed the action. It's like Teofimo's dad told Eddie Hearn before the fight Luke is a hell of a fighter has all the skills necessary but he is a loser and what he meant by that is that he is content with playing it safe rather than going for the win and it's what ultimately cost him the fight.
