He was no petty criminal.
He victimized several women and got 18 months in prison?

Then wins a boxing belt, got his brain bled and now we should forget what happened?

I’m not saying anyone should ever forget. What he did was atrocious and yes being sent to prison was his bottom. Should he have gotten a longer sentence? Yes I agree maybe longer however that’s what he got. A majority of criminals return to a life of crime. He chose to channel his anger into a profession, make something of himself and become a better community member. He effectively rose to the top instead of becoming a lifetime scumbag criminal.

Don’t like that he served 18 months? Take it up with legislators and the judicial system. He got what he got based off the laws which sentenced him.

He did his crime, he was arrested, he was tried, he was found guilty and he served his time. You may not like it but get over it. That’s the way the judicial system works. Do I agree with it? Maybe not but it’s not for me to judge him. That already happened and he was released and made something of his life.

If you read clearly I did say his acts were atrocious. However instead of being a career criminal after release he made something of himself, become an asset to the communities he has lived in and became a role model in later life for turning his life around.

If you’re this outraged did you write your letters of protest to the Canadian courts? Maybe Parliament to express your disapproval? Have you ever written a letter in your life to a representative of Government? Or are you just coming onto a website to moan because you feel slighted that his sentence wasn’t harsh enough? If you’re this angry and upset write to those that write the laws and fight for change.

It's amazing he has recovered this well such a tragic end to a career but it puts the sport in perspective. Maybe when some trolls use the word 'bum' they think of Adonis and what he went through.

Respect & appreciation to Adonis. I thought his story was gonna end badly when he got hurt. Glad for him & his fam that he's one of the few who seems normal after the severe injury he had.

If he does wind up with little, to no lasting damage, between him and Errol Spence, that’s 2 miraculous recoveries in a sport where that’s pretty rare.
