Crawford had to cheat to beat Khan because Khan was controlling the fight and was winning until Crawford decided the only way to win the fight was to cheat by hitting Khan below the belt.
Basically Crawford had no shot at beating Khan so has to resort to fighting dirty.

I said I didnt think that Crawford had to fight dirty to win.... I just wondered why he did.
