The only duck and delusional guy I see here is Spence. I used to be a Spence fan. At this point, Bud would destroy Spence, no doubt. Screw Haymon. This fight won't happen.

Spence is the only guy who'd give me pause for betting on Crawford at WW. There are no other threats, not really. Pacquiao and Porter are the only other guys who'd even be competitive but even then Crawford would be a heavy favourite. Spence and Crawford are both incredible fighters, but outside of them the division is pretty damn weak compared to the previous era. Between Spence and Crawford who's ducking who is frankly a matter of opinion. Honestly I don't think either guy is afraid of the other because neither has that kind of personality, but I do think they recognise the danger that they pose to one another, and also I do think both guys have become spoilt and greedy and are letting that diva mindset creep in, so neither guy wants to make the fight unless they get the lion's share of the purse. Bob Arum is a huge spanner in the works as well - he clearly hates Haymon and also seems dead set on sabotaging Crawford's career, so he'd probably go all out to do his best to be difficult to work with to poison the well during negotiations in the same way Hearn did when Joshua-Wilder was on the cards - he'll do his best to guarantee that the fight falls through in a way that allows him to blame onto Haymon and his guys.

This fight's most likely not going to happen during 2021, the realistically best case is some time reasonably early in 2022 after Crawford's contract with Bob is up.

I wouldnt believe a thing Arum says about any money deal, I think he withholds things from his fighters and embellishes other things.
It’s not hard to tell Crawford is just not a draw. Numbers don’t lie. And in Arum’s career as a promoter since i’ve been alive, he has never flat out said a fighter who is currently in his stable can’t sell and he loses money on him. Arum waits for the fighter to jump ship then he will talk trash about them. It is unprecedented for Arum to say what he said about Crawford while he’s still in Top Rank.

And let’s be honest, if Arum liked Crawford and told him to stay, Crawford would stay. Guaranteed Crawford likes the idea of staying in TR, being fed overmatched opponents for $3.5mill minimum, and staying far away of any threat. One of the biggest names on his resume, Kell Brook, was not even ranked as a top 10 fighter at 147. That’s sad. Amir khan, another big name on his resume. No where in the top 10 147 fighters.

He’s fighting overmatched opponents for an easy $3.5 million. He’s cool with that, I would be too. He’d stay with TR but Arum is pretty much telling him when his lease is over, vacate the premises. He’s being evicted because he never pays full rent. Arum needs a new tenant in there that will make him money rather than make him lose money.

If the 40% is legit Crawford should have took it. Wipe the floor with Spence and then he's in the driving seat.

Both fighter's fans going back and forth but not one side has stepped to the table with a legit offer or tried to get this fight made. It's all media talk

So far yes. he had to fight his mandatory and that was his best opponent. The two washed up English fighters were no threat and neither was anyone he has fought since winning the title. There are worthy challengers he could fight so let's see who he fights next. Here is a new chance for him to fight a worthy challenger or another 14 to 1 underdog.

Everyone else who doesn't have a great resume is considered a duck, dunno why Bud would be different.

What's funny is that's pretty much all anyone goes off of too. Pov's a ****ty guy who fights guys on their way out. Avoids anything challenging like the plague and always has an excuse for delaying or plumb missing fights, not considered a duck though because all those names folks recognize. No matter how past it, no matter how clear they're on the slide, and no matter how often he ducks or avoids someone who isn't.

itll happen once spence is out of viable options...which will be soon...hes still going to look into a pac fight...if not that hell look at ugas or thurman....once those are exhausted hell be limited and it will be time provided both guys keep winning

bud and bob know this...because its the exact game theyd be playing if the shoe were on the other foot.....bud and bob will happily sit back and wait for the fight to build to be bigger and for more money while they can trick a few people into believing the other side is ducking...but bob and bud know whats up and they are part of it too....theyll gladly sit back and wait

the whole shawn porter thing really proved to me that bud and bob are complicit too....they know how this is going to play out....they kept floating porters name until kenny porter said "call us"...then they did a 180 reversal....they like yucking it up and playing it up that the other side is avoiding them...because they think the pbc guys wont answer back and acknowledge them...once kenny porter did they got caught.....the reality is i dont think bud is avoiding them or afraid of porter....its just not a fight that financially makes sense for bob....bob doesnt wanna do business with al unless its a big money big ppv fight....it just doesnt make fiscal sense to him otherwise and i think everyone needs to understand that.....thats why bob knows exactly what al's doing...hed be doing the exact same thing in al's shoes....

if both guys win through next year the fight will happen....people start buying into this "aww damn its never gonna happen"...they always happen when the time/money is just right...its like people forget that....

Spence is fighting champion after champion. His opposition as champion has been far better than Crawford's at welterweight. Maybe you have no doubt Crawford would win. I think just the opposite is true. Porter, Mikey and Danny Garcia are all better than any welterweight Crawford has fought. Crawford is demanding a 60/40 money split in his favor to fight Spence and Spence demands a 60/40 split in his favor so there is no difference there. There is nothing delusional about fighting and beating top welterweights and that is what Spence has been doing but not Crawford.

i dont think bud is really ducking anyone....but that whole shawn porter thing really showed what was going on...

bob arum kept saying they were eyeying shawn porter....leading up to that mean machine fight they kept saying how they were looking towards porter next...bout a week after that fight kenny said "call us we can make that"..alluding to having haymons blessing...not long after that at a fight bud was asked on cam about porter "thats not on my radar"...but why not? your promoter kept saying his name? you guys dont talk or discuss anything? lol yeah right

i dont think bud is ducking...i dont think hes afraid to fight porter....but people needs to realize this...bob isnt going to do business with al unless it benefits him....hes not going to do a fight unless its a big money big ppv fight...financially it just doesnt make sense otherwise.....and bob knows that if he were in haymons shoes hed be doing the same exact thing...which is "exhausting all in house options first".....its too tough for bob to bring porter over to espn....and otherise it has to be a ppv fight...and bud/porter prob isnt a ppv fight in reality...itd be a gamble or a stretch....one bob isnt willing to take.....bob is willing to sit back and wait for haymon/spence to be ready...he may talk like he wants the fight ASAP....but he knows whats going on and that he has to wait because its right out of his own playbook...dont let his talk/posturing fool you he knows exactly how this plays out

thats what it comes down to "exhaust all in house options first"....bob would do the same...thats what haymon is doing with spence....when spence is out of options the fight will get made...its getting closer to that time.....just a little patience
