Broner rarely ever looks happy around Spanish folks. Lol. Zayas is a very solid young fighter and sparring former world champions like Broner and Easter can only raise help him sharpen and his game. Looking forward to seeing his progress. Might take some time ,but PR needs a star fighter badly.

Sparing against former world champions is invaluable learning experience, which will help build further self confidence in Zayas' own ability. In the picture they took Broner looks a bit puffy around the eyes, and exhausted. I wounder if Broners look was as a direct result from sparring with Zayas. I'd like to see Zayas fight more often, about 6 fights in 2021, another 4-6 in 2022, and then 3 fights in 2023. That'll have him ready to fight for a title, in the latter part of 2023, either at 147, or the 154 pounds weight division. Remember he's still growing, and it is conceivable that he can end up as high as 168, or 175, pounds.

Maybe that because is first, and worst defeat can against a Hispanic. Remember his fight against Marcos Maidana, wher Broner tried to punk him in the ring, only to get punk'd himself, and dropped a few times. If I remember correctly he didn't wait to be interviewed after the decision loss, and fans threw objects at him on his way to the locker room. That's a humiliating experience to go through, but that's why you shouldn't ever disrespect your opponent, because it might back fie on you. Which is exactly what happened to Broner on that night. That said I don't condone fans throwing debris at anyone in any event. Broner might have looked unhappy in the photo with Xander Zayas, because he might have been puffy eyed, and worn out from sparring with Zayas, who did look happy in the same photo. By the way Broner did show a lot of heart in fighting back, and not quiting against Maidana in their fight. Maidana was a tough as nails fighter during his boxing career, you were never left disappointed when watching one of his fights.

Completely agree. Hopefully, Broner can get some fire lit under him knowing that the young guys coming up are starting to take over and his time to still make something more out of himself might be coming to end. As much flack as he gets for being him(deservedly so most of the time), his talent and skills have always been undeniable, but dude just always been his own worst enemy.

It's really unfortunate, he's always trying to prove something to someone. Once I saw him trying to copy Floyd Mayweather jr., and nicked named himself the problem, I knew he would have problems. I never expected them to be so many problems, or that he would make so many bad/criminal decisions. He might have psychological problems, because of the way he processes his thoughts, and speaks during interviews. The things he says makes you wonder where did that come from. Anyway with Broner it's been to many bad acts, and arrest to hope that he can overcome his own problematic issues. I've never been a Broner fan, because he's to full of himself, no humility. Simply a selfish, egotistical, bully. His wild lifestyle has caught up with him, and eroded his boxing skills. I don't foresee him ever winning a another title again, for the rest of his boxing career.

Sad, but agree on most of this. Shoulda spent more time proving it to himself than to others. That's where real respect comes from. We'll see where goes ftom here on.
