Not that it's an excuse, but I think that part of the issue is marketing. Fury and Wilder have done a great job of promoting themselves while Spence and Crawford prefer to let their skills do all the talking.

Both are excellent fighters. They just haven't crossed over in the way Fury and Wilder have, therefore ESPN and PBC don't believe that the demand is worth making a cross-promotional deal.

I think the fight would sell, however the powers that be don't believe it's on the level of Fury-Wilder yet.

Top Rank already burned Wilder. It will be a cold day in hell before you see Haymon and TR do business again.

i know bob arum likes to make you think hes doing you a favor not doing ppvs with bud or teo/loma...but the reality is if he thought he could make some money on them rn with ppv hed do it...he doesnt....the pbc dont appeared to be worried about it...but everything is down and theyre the only guys doing ppvs
i enjoy not having ppvs. And this trend started with Spence vs Porter so it’s definitely not the pandemic. Tyson and Roy didn’t have any problems with selling ppvs during the pandemic or being sandwiched between the Charlo ppv failure and Spence Garcia.

i almost forgot...youre one of those guys "everything the pbc does is a failure"...keep wishing fgt

tyson and roy had no problems because even little girls who havent watched a boxing match in their life bought it to have a "party" because their dad was a big a tyson fan(i know this because my best friends little sister did this)....youre somehow happy and bragging that an exhibition with two old guys did better than actual legit fights between prime fighters lol...says all i need to know about your lame arse

Haymon thought Wilder could beat Fury. Fury was a cherry pick gone wrong.

No one bragged about Tyson Jokes being a success. Just proves thst if you haven’t ppv people are interested in that they will buy it and people can stop with this everyone streams PPVs nowadays.

It is very telling though when a retired Tyson and Jones ppv sells more ppvs than all 3 Spence ppvs, tank davis ppv and Charlo ppv combined though.

The fact that spenders numbers keep going down is another worry about his viability as a ppv star.
