Agreed, never should have rushed the rematch. It’s better Shyte rest and recoup properly. Instead of jumping 3 months later into the now rescheduled rematch. But still kudos to him for wanting to right his wrong without any hesitation or hibernation.

Dillian must regret not taking the rematch offered with Joshua who went on to be destroyed by a unheralded fighter in Ruiz. He is in that proven position of being one punch from disaster and that's how it turned out. He has to box brilliantly in the rematch otherwise Povetkin will do the same again .He is now walking a tightrope as one more loss here and it's hard to see where an opportunity will come.

It doesn't matter. Whyte is set either way. He's entertaining enough and unpredicatable enough to always be a great bust up. He knows it too. I suspect he never had any real interest in truly gunning for a title and why should he? He's earning good money on domestic PPVs. He's a future Chisora, whose likeability makes him a solid journeyman fighter that most Brits can get on board with.
