You've got to hand it to Gongora, he fought with true grit. Anything less than the fierce fighting spirit which he brought to bear, and he would've been beaten in that fight.

He said he was tired, but looked as chill as could be taking Akmehdov apart. Looking forward to watching the rest of his career.

Super impressed, dude made a fan of me. Reminds me of BHop both stylistically and in his physical size and build... curiously apparently he's the nephew or something of Alberto Mercado.

If Berlanga can stop this dude that would be a good win and opportunity for a title shot imo

Big step up for Edgar but yeah, that's a fight I'd watch for sure... stylisticly a lovely matchup.

If he can make it OK he should, but it's worth noting that he's 31 now, and anecdotally 30 is the age when fighters typically start to struggle more cutting. Rare to see a guy move back down into their 30s. Depends though, maybe he can make it fine... it really ain't that long ago he was fighting there.

It looks like he's fought at that weight many times in his career. He doesn't really look to have a big frame and sort of slender.

Yeah, a completely different demeanor from BHop (especially young Bhop), but he also had me thinking about Bernard while watching.
