It's an interesting division, that's for sure and eventually out of all of it will likely come one really big star. At the moment, it is only really Teofimo that has stepped it up and established himself as the leading light in the division by fighting Lomachenko. Haney sounds like he wants to step it up but can't get the fights. Tank has yet to step up to the really serious opposition. Garcia is talking about it, but where he's at in his career is Campbell, which is one stage below the elite. Things are shaping up nicely though.

Garcia seems to have the most potential of the young guns, the most to develop.

I think Oscar is one of the most over rated fighters in history when you really look closer at career. His overall persona made him greater than his actual ring resume.

He came up short in his biggest fights of his career against Mosley (2), Trinidad, Hopkins, Manny, & Floyd.

His most impressive wins were against Vargas & Quartey.

He had wins against fighters past their prime like Camacho, Chavez, & Hernandez.

He got a gift against Whitaker.

I don’t even know what to think about boxing fans/casuals.

These four guys are undefeated, talented and under 25 yet we have guys here trying to underrate one over the other when their resumes are mostly similar. The only way to settle the argument of who the kingpin is at 135 is for them to fight each other but then you hear that it’s not enough.
That someone (Haney) has to “earn” a fight against any of the other similar guys.

I love boxing but boxing fans are the worst !

There is really ONE champion at 135 and it’s Teo. Whatever WBC trinkets Haney and Garcia want to fight over is fine, but Teo is the recognized real champ. Everyone is just vying for the next spot in line right now.

Tank can rule 130, he should unify it.
I’m not hang up on the trinkets Garcia and Haney own.
I just want to see them fight each other.
135 is probably the most loaded division and these guys should and must fight each other. It’s that simple.

I think the bigger issue with Tank is his size. I’m not sure he can stick around long enough to rule the older he gets. He gets really heavy

There are bigger and better names at 135 for Tank to fight.

I'm gonna keep repeating it in every thread where Oscar and Ryan are compared:

Oscar tucked his chin to the extreme - it was damn near planted on his chest, he almost fought slightly hunched over it was so damn tucked. And he rolled with shots too.

Garcia's head is straight up, he was clipped a couple times in that first rd because his head was on a line. Natural talent aside, that is something that can be worked on for Garcia
