2020 Prospect of the Year - EDGAR BERLANGA

Who is your choice for prospect of the year?

Edgar Berlanga sounds like a good pick?

Report explaining Berlanga as 2020's best prospect here:

    I'm okay with it.

He's a gimmick until he fights somebody who can extend him beyond the 1st round, but it's a good gimmick thus far.

It's not him until he beats guys in the boxrec top 50. his highest so far is rated 151st in the world. He hits hard but how does he do against a decent fighter who can take a punch and hits hard back? boots Ennis is my prospect.

Is Ryan Garcia still considered a prospect? I'd go with him if he counts.

        What defines a prospect anyways?

I feel like there are a lot of good prospects out there right now. I'm not even sure how I define a prospect anymore. Got a mfer last week with 3 fights or w/e looking nice in a interim bs belt fight ffs. And Vergil still ain't even a indie top ten guy so is he still a prospect? Usually if you ain't a top ten guy with a nice record & young-ish you are still a prospect in my eyes. Edgar is definitely a cat I got my eye on doe obviously.

Not to mention with how this year went it don't even feel like it was a full year of boxing to gauge it completely.

            Hmm maybe Conwell for me.

Berlanga is sloppy. Powerful but wild and poor form. 168 has maybe 6 or 7 interesting fighters in the division and then the drop off is extremely steep. It might be awhile till we find out who Berlanga is.
