Taught fighters in boxing are very orthodox styles, JMM Monzon Arguello Kessler etc.

Natural fighters are aggressive Tyson Duran Porter etc.

Natural athletes are Jones Floyd Pernell silky smooth cat reflexes .

All champions do thats why they champions.

Meaning they do little things different or better than the others.

I think every top level fighter comes under the learned category to am extent because they all put in endless hours of training

I go with mayorga for natural

        Learned definitely James toney

I kinda feel like most of the best fighters are learned. It just doesn't seem like it once they've gotten so good. It looks natural, but it took years & years of dedication to make it look natural.

I'd say a guy like Arturo Gatti is more along the lines of someone who leans more natural although I got lil doubt he put in his time learning his craft as well.

I think a lot of punters assess this topic based on how a fighter looks

some fighters, just make it look easy... composed, relaxed, natural... reacting instinctively, without appearing to think about it

it took a LOT of training/experience to get that good

once you are that good, there are rules/"given's" that you can start to bend/break... I think that is a part of what people see as natural, but none of that is natural

AJ is definatley not a learned fighter considering he put a pair of gloves on for the first time and was beating elite amateurs 2 years later. Klitschko is a far better example

Duran and Pac moved up considerably in weight during their careers with great success. They could not have done that without the natural gifts a fighter is blessed with. Schooled fighters is more perception. I think you have to look at the best trainers who made young fighters who they are.
