I would say MMA is a great example. There have been unstoppable looking world champs from other organizations that went to the UFC and looked average.

In my day the UFC buy ups came in and became champions. You know, Pride MWs becoming UFC LHW champs. I guess to some extent SF given both Rousey and Cain were SF fighters first.
They're still buys folks up and now those dudes is ****?

I know Lombard. Kinda surprised he didn't do well. Askren, never heard of.
That's kinda cool though. The UFC boys should win really. It's the biggest org with the deepest pockets to buy the best talents. Gonna have to start watching again and see how the new kids are doing.
Gonna look to see if they ever got Fedor. Even past time, Fedor in the UFC would be cool.
