Jonathan Leir: Boxing Social Media Scammer???

Apologies if this story isn't in-scope for this board but this was one of the weirder boxing social media stories in quite some time. This story has been all over boxing Twitter the past 48 hours or so. Apparently Jonathan Leir, who hosts the Ring Walk podcast focusing on boxing betting tips and interviews with up and coming fighters, was revealed to have been a personal fitness trainer who previously went by the name of Jonny Straws. Under the moniker Jonny Straws, he's alleged to have faked cancer in order to scam other cancer patients out of money. I dig his podcast & he definitely had solid boxing betting tips + got Fight Ghost on the pod who I've been a fan of on Twitter forever.

Always came across super nice, but you could see he had a big ego & the betting stuff but I'm so broke stuff along with having a family mixture never sit all that well with me so I seen some degen habits with him the whole time. Didn't think his true self would be THIS sketchy doe.

The latest episode he pimped out "kids" on the show who turned out to be his step kids. Then a day or so later the whole channel dissappeared. I wondered why until now. Time to read the article.

Reminds me of that guy from that dumb show The League who faked being in 9/11...

His channel is off YouTube now? I see some weird error on my podcast feed for him.

In that article he's talking about suing folks & internet bullying lol.

Doesn't even seem like there is conclusive proof of him doing anything as there are only accusations, but the way he's acting, things he's saying & all the going offline stuff is saying he's guilty of what he's being accused of.
