Fury is unorthodox, but that doesn't necessarily mean he outboxes AJ. I don't even think he'll want to - if he relies on fighting from the outside and winning rounds he'll have to be perfect. Wilder, who can't box, caught up with him twice. You'd have to think AJ, who can box, will get to him more often even if he's losing rounds inbetween.

I think Fury has to go the boxer/puncher route. He'll need to do some damage when he gets his opportunities because he can't expect to fight AJ for 12 rounds without getting caught.

And I think, and have always thought, that a fight like that suits AJ more.
The difference between Joshua & Wilder is that? Joshua is going to be landing on Fury in every single round 'Joshua may be losing the rounds, but he will be landing'.

Fury has not really been in a fight, where a puncher as big as Joshua is routinely landing on him 'Even if it is just a few punches per round, it is something new for Tyson Fury'.

Wilder as unsophisticated as he is, found a way to land his biggest punches 'Even when Fury mentally was fighting a defensive type of fight'.

Note: It will be interesting as to what body type Fury molds himself into vs Joshua 'I don't think the 270 pound version of Fury, is going to be fighting with his old riddler style etc'.

      Fury's chin outlasts Joshua's chin

It depends what the judges like too, lots of pitty pat scoring punches or harder more hurtful punches that land less

AJ has better fundamentals but Fury is more athletic and throws faster combos.

The thing with AJ is that he can be tagged and hurt (Whyte, Takam, Povetkin), tagged and floored (Wlad) and tagged and stopped (Ruiz).

If you are Fury you have to fancy your chances of tagging Joshua repeatedly if smaller fighters can get in there an do it. The key will be Fury's jab and maintaining range and lateral movement.

If you're Joshua you want to get mid-range, parry a jab and throw a straight right counter

I kinda agree with Froch who had a great career with wins over an undefeated Pascal, Jermain Taylor, Dirrell, Abraham, Glen Johnson, Bute, Mack, Kessler. Only 2 losses, one to HOF’er Ward and the other to Kessler who he later avenged.

But I believe Fury will have more of a style similar to when he fought Wladimir with a little more aggression because Joshua can crack and get you out of there and in his prime. When Fury fought Wladimir, he was at the tail end at 39 years old and only fought one more time, 2 years later at 41 getting stopped by Joshua. Fury also believes in his power much more right now being over confident because he dominated Wilder. So Fury will box and look forward opportunities to stop Joshua because he still believes his chin is suspect.

It’s the mental game too. Joshua needs to get mental digs into Fury. He’s already on shaky ground post Ruiz and Fury is a strong psychologist.

I think Fury will fight much like he did in the Wilder rematch. Use his size and strength to put Joshua on the back foot, rough him up and deflate his confidence. He won't give Joshua room to punch with any extension or leverage.

                      I think he can actually.

Joshua can probably land two to tyson's one. If he played hit me I hit back twice as hard and twice as fast he'll win, on points if Fury survives it.

One KO does not a bruiser make.

One KO loss, on his ****ing feet, does not a soft chin make.

Joshua has all the right stuff to simply out-man Fury. He could make it mean, dirty, use his handspeed and combos, and put Fury in a world of hurt.

I reckon Fury-Wilder 1 / Wlad-Fury version of Fury is Tyson's best bet. Fury-Wilder 2 for Joshua is probably a mistake that just gives control to Joshua.

Andy did not take advantage of much, just distance and and posture. Tyson's too large to fight Josh like that. He should take advantage of Joshua's habit of fighting on tracks. direct in and direct out bull. Tyson has angles and that's how Tyson mops the floor with Joshua. Work those angles because McCracken will not address Joshua's posture or angles until after he gets whooped again. Sure fire not prepared for that. Josh can handle some pressure though, sure enough.
