Well, to be entirely honest I also remember several instances where a loser was crying after the fight because he could not fulfil his relative's pre-death wish. I can't be more precise about who and when, but I'm sure it happened more than once in the past.

Yea I've seen it miss to, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is some statistical relevant increase in ones chance to win when something tragic happens in your life that puts things in better perspective.

You ain't wrong, real hard to imagine how Roger could win after the utter dominance of Rene in the first fight. I was suggesting at the start of the thread that Gutierrez had matured and was on a bit of a streak, but honestly it was more that I was trying to justify including it as a Pick Em than I actually thought he had much of a shot.

It was that Buster Douglas performance. Mom just dies and thw fighter wills themselves for a 1 night performance of a lifetime. Thats my opinion anyhow
