Could Usyk manage to avoid that right hand for 12 rounds or would Wilder be able to catch him and out his lights out? Tbh I’m favoring the latter and I think the amount of people that think Usyk could take a Wilder right hand a brush it off are gonna be surprised. He can’t box but he’s the second hardest fight for Usyk at HW next to Fury.

How is someone who can’t win rounds the second hardest fight for Usyk who thrives on angles and non stop moving . Usyk isn’t going to lose to anyone who can’t set up shots and make him desperate to unravel by being behind in a fight and making mistakes. -
It would be an interesting fight. Usyk can be elusive but then when he wants to sit down on his punches he seems to get tagged. I don't think he would sit down on his punches against Wilder as he knows it only takes one for Wilder to end it.
Even with a gulf in Boxing ability between them the reach difference is immense and if Usyk is going to try go 12 I can't imagine Wilder not landing one at some point. He can stand so far from Usyk and keep trying. Usyk has to be in range to actually do something to win his rounds.Comment

usyk stops him, far too good to be caught clean by a windmill that decent fighters can see coming a mile off. wilders completely broken mentally, i could see usyk just fighting up close and beating the crap out of him, theres no fear factor to wilder any more, people wont spend 12 rounds fighting scared, they will just walk straight up to him and beat him down. without the leverage to swing that windmill wilder has nothing. usyks not a power puncher but people said the same about fury, if someone whos 16 stone plus hits you enough times clean in the face you are going to go down. wilder would have mental flashbacks as soon as first solid shot lands on him, hes done at world level in boxing, its best if he just retires now or fights ortiz for a 3rd time so he can retire as pbc champ and haymon fans can pretend he is the best, unfortunately in the real world he will go down as the most overrated heavyweight champ of all time but hes still got his healthComment

I wonder how it would be received if that fight did get made and he ended up KO’ing Usyk. Would an immediate rematch be in place like with Whyte/Povetkin? I still want to see Usyk vs Joshua over the Wilder fight tbh.Comment

Like I said in the last thread on this topic, I think Usyk uses his footwork to command the ring and take control of the fight. Wilder does have reach on him and obviously one clean right hand to the head is going to stop the show right then and there, but he's overeliant on that right hand. Usyk can neuter it by moving away from it. I see Usyk frequently potshotting, occasionally countering, and constantly maneuvering in a way that Wilder can't get set. Usyk's a southpaw as well, and if Wilder's fights against Szpilka and Ortiz are anything to go by, those can be problematic for him, only Usyk is more skillful and much faster on his feet than both of those guys. I wouldn't predict Usyk to stop Wilder simply because I think he's not got the power to do it in one shot and that the gameplan he'd have to employ would call for too much caution for him to put up the kind of sustained assault that could do it, but I do see him winning a decisive points win. Obviously when you hit as hard as Wilder does you can never write him off either, but I just think that out of all the biggest names currently at heavyweight, Wilder is the most opportune target for Usyk.Comment

Rubbish... Wilder won’t be getting lit up by Usyk, he will eventually go full windmill mode and one of those will connect.
Wilder is garbage but he still has one punch power, Usyk can’t KO him, there is nothing to stop Wilder going for the kill once he gets frustrated.Comment
