It's not unbelievable. Just because a person hits hard doesn't mean their more skillful. You can hit hard as hell but if you can't land flush it doesn't matter.Comment

you are nuts if you think that Charlo is more skilled than Canelo, or if you think that Charlo is harder to beat than Canelo...
that shlt's ridiculousComment

We need to be realistic. The Benavidez camp know they have two strikes working with Haymon. If Al gives you opportunities to hold belts, you don’t lose them in particular ways... people talk, we saw how Haymon controlled Figueroa’s career. The younger Figueroa has had more action than the older one and will probably lose against Rigondeaux.
Charlo is more valuable to Haymon than Benavidez, and the Benavidez family SHOULD FEEL very insecure with how Al’s values their business here forward. His son misses weight and to promoters or Al, that’s a waste of money and distrust to fans whom tune in for a Championship fight. Common sense?
All that being said, they know the nature of the business. All Jermall has to do is perform like Dirrell. Which means Charlo has a better chance of winning. Jermall has the opportunity to move around the ring, try something different, and not squared up as he usually is.
This is why the father PREFERS to make a substantial PAYDAY than to risk losing Split Decision or UD to Charlo... why?! Because Charlo has better branding and better business for PBC.
So easy to see this stuff.
Lopez’ father before the Loma fight was stressed out that that he was downplaying Crawford and Canelo as inferior fighters to his son, but when he beat Loma and went to the Smith fight, the father completely changed his tune. These guys speak in the heart of money. When you are destined or bound to make $2mil a fight like Lopez, of course his father is going to talk smack. It’s a natural build up. Same with David’s father. They want that Canelo payday.Comment
