Just watched Yildirim vs Dirrell - a very close fight, Dirrell was saved by Haymon

This was a fun brawl fight, lots of action, and surprised how many clean right hands Dirrell took from the Turk. I replayed Round 6 various times, Dirrell’s eye was cut from a right hand then moments later an opened cut to then a head butt.

Commentary had these two neck to neck and many were surprised with Dirrell’s poor performance.

Then 96-94 from two judges while the Turk was starting to drill Dirrell in the last rounds and Sam Watson pushed the button to conveniently stop the fight. Mean had Yildirim finished round 10 it was tied and the Turk going to the 12th would’ve been the WBC Champion. He would’ve inevitably been murked by Benavidez, but still, destroyed.

Remember that Berchelt was stopped in Round 1 too. Eubank was just on his A game as he did against Abraham and got lucky.

This isn’t justifying Canelo’s mandatory which isn’t official yet since the WBC wants Canelo Promotions and Haymon to come to terms first....

Just saying, Yildirim was robbed in the Dirrell fight.

    Carry on.

That's what we're going with? A domestic Turkish level fighter was robbed against the ****ty Dirrell brother so he deserves this fight?
