There will be a winner, there will be a loser and if down the road they want a rematch, that’s up to them. But I am not requiring, and I don’t like to require, a rematch in any contract that I do.

Bob Arum is the man. Even at 150yrs old he’s still negotiating and winning.

          Yet...from Arum's OWN mouth:

I don't think it's just up to Arum. Each fighter at a certain level, pushing one another for "prestige" sometimes objects to how much the other gets. And I think this is the case here.

People should just move on from this fight. Neither seems to want it. I won't give them any more traffic after this post.

So you believe the guy that specifically said he doesn't like rematches?

This is the same deal that Arum & Haymon made for Fury-Wilder 2. It was 50-50 and the winner would get 60-40 for the rematch.

Fury-Wilder 2 had so much promotion because ESPN & FOX were promoting it hard. It was also great to see the media personalities from ESPN & FOX crossing over on each others shows, and doing pre-fight and post-fight commentary together, which made it less biased. Every Crawford and Spence fight has Top Rank and PBC talking up their fighter just a little too much.

Pacquiao needs to say what he's going to do soon, so these guys can get going. I hope Pacquiao says he won't fight Spence or Crawford until they fight each other.

And what happened in the first fight? A draw that nobody with sense believed was a draw. Shady business.

Second, the first fight involved an undefeated lineal champion with a win over Klitschko, against the-then dominant undefeated WBC champion. I can buy a 50-50 for that.

Crawford has a lesser trinket. Crawford has NO quality wins at 147.

That's why I said he should demand a Porter fight and figure out how to stop him - something no other fighter has come close to doing.

NOW, you've elevated your value, and a 50-50 makes sense. But not just because you knock out guys you're SUPPOSED to!

No, I'd rather see common sense return. A-Side gets the larger purse, B-Side does what they need to do to become the A-Side.

                    Just think about this.

Suppose you do 50-50 and Spence blows him out, 12-0, just like Mikey.

NSB will say "Crawford sold the belt!!" "Crawford took a dive!!"

BUT, if Crawford came in fresh off stopping the guy that almost beat Spence, there's no way it could be that. It can only be Spence being superior and proving it.
