Lomachenko did not turn up for 7 rounds. He has a case for the next four, though Lopez I felt took one of those. And round 12 he was battered. Why can't Loma just say he underperformed and will win a rematch? As if I as Lopez, I would not give him one as what's the point? As even if he wins 12-0 Loma will still cry robbery.
Tyson Fury is my fave boxer, but I'm also a massive Wilder fan, but I hate his excuses. Take a loss like a man and grow from it. Be the best you can be. If Wilder ends up being the 2nd or 3rd best HW of his generation, rather than the best as he thought, there's no shame in that. Same for Loma. He's world class, but not elite to me as a pro.
He hate all the excuses in boxing. I also really hate the "No excuses, but" line that so many boxers use after a loss as well. Like no excuses but here's my excuse. Also, "The better man on the night" Why not just the better man? Take defeat, learn and comeback stronger.
