I also think Loma is pissed at Bob too and I wouldn’t be surprised if that relationship starts going south.
Of course having the rematch clause is the smart thing to do but how do we know Lopez and Arum would even agree to it? If Loma insisted on a clause people would be saying "Loma's scared, he's not confident he can beat Lopez". If he agrees to fight him without a rematch clause, he's arrogant.

There are lots of things you can criticize a fighter for but being willing to fight without a rematch clause isn't one of them imo.

I am sure they did count a punch of thing that did not land. CompuBox is garbage, they had Canelo LANDING over 55% of his power punches this weekend. Smith would have been drooling on the floor if he had landed that much.

As for the Lomo fight, the numbers did not matter. He clearly lose.

I wonder what he thinks about his activity in the first 7 rounds? Does he think he will get any of those rounds for doing absolutely nothing? Let's say Lopez was swinging and missing in a lot of those punches in the first 7. Lomachenko was not swinging at all. So what choice do the judges have? I guess he thought they would give him the rounds because of his Olympic status? It's like Fury vs Klitschko..neither fighter did much of anything, very little punches thrown/landed in the 12 rounds. But Fury did a little more. The judges had no choice. What are you supposed to do as a judge when someone is throwing 5 punches per round, most of them ineffective little jabs that are doing F all to your opponent? and then you are also on the backfoot, doing absolutely nothing. Idk what Lomachenko expects. He should know better that what he did was just all wrong.

          Lomachenko's shots were non-existent.

Judges don't score rounds for a fighter being a statue.
if you watch the fight in slo mo lomachenko outlanded him clearly, theres a video of it in youtube

            like it changes anything... sad.
He doesn't seem to realize that it was one of the easiest fights of the year to score. Nobody was relying on Compubox because Loma's punches through most rounds could've been counted on one hand.

That's been a very many years complaint. And properly so. Also, Jim Lampley had a bad habit of calling hits, sometime for the wrong person, and very often when there were NO hits, but blocks, misses and deflections. That was really his job, to keep the excitement up, not to accurately tell what was happening.

Looking at that slo-mo, which was very good to watch, and all due credit to the poster who put it on here. It showed me, at least, that Lomachenko won that last round, not based solely on punches, but tactics, ring command, and all round better generalship.

These are what the Judges are SUPPOSED to mark on, but very often don't.

I'd like to see the whole fight in slo-mo. Don't forget that even a touch, which does no harm, is supposed to be counted as a blow.

Loma looking bad right now, but he’s still got a way to go before he gets into Wilder territory.
