  • Comments Thread For: Shawn Porter: If Terence Crawford Is Willing To Say Yes, The Fight Will Happen

Shawn Porter expects to fight Terence Crawford or Errol Spence Jr. next. If Porter, the number one contender for Crawford's WBO welterweight title, were to challenge Crawford in his first fight of 2021, the former IBF and WBC champion anticipates that it would happen by "April or May." Porter wants Crawford next more than a rematch versus Spence, according to what he told Showtime's Brian Custer for the most recent episode of Custer's "Last Stand Podcast," which debuted Monday night on YouTube.

Well surely if Porter is mando Crawford HAS to say yes to keep his belt. Sounds to me like Crawford wants it done as a mando and Porter wants it as a voluntary because of the financial split issue.

That's just my opinion Porter will demand 40% or something around that where as the mandatory split is 25 or 30% to the challenger for that belt (I think).

Don't you worry. He isn't willing to say yes to anything but bums.

These are the type of opponents, that Bud needs to call out and fight if he is truly serious about fighting Erroll Spence because outside of being undefeated; So far his ass hasn't fought or done shit at welterweight to warrant an Erroll Spence fight. All he has been doing is sitting back relaxing, chilling and waiting while Erroll does all the dirty work.

Name the bums. Who did he fight that you consider a bum? Its easy to make an unsubstantiated claim.

Keep on with the delusional Errol Spence PR campaign. I’m sure somebody believes you.

He doesn't need to fight Porter before fighting Spence but fighting Porter doing good PPV numbers would strengthen his case for 50/50

He doesn’t need to strengthen his “case” for anything. Spence’s PR campaign is not working. Either he wants the fight or he doesn’t. The more comments I read the more apparent it is that Spence has actually damaged his reputation by trying to negotiate/make excuses through the media.
