Would of been a good interesting fight. I think I would of favoured Loma but it would of been a nice clash of styles. Mikey is basic in what he does but he does it very very well and would of had a nice size advantage to try work behind.

Shame it didn't happen and I didn't see it as a duck of Loma rather than the PBC just had other plans for Mikey so he chose that route. I think Mikey made the wrong choice though.

As for the question at hand, I would have favored Mikey as well. Mikey has heavy hands and a terrific jab that would have controlled Lomachenko's movement. Lopez is more explosive, but Mikey has better fundamentals, better jab and is a very good counter puncher in his own regard. Lomachenko got touched up in spots against Pedraza, Campbell and Linares. Mikey would have edged him or even possibly stopped him.

It wasn't even that. Both he and Hearn stated that DAZN gave a comparable offer to fight someone like Vargas than he made against Spence. It was like 500k more to fight Spence than it would have been to fight Vargas....And then 11 months later, he fights Vargas for 7M after having a guarantee of 8.5M against Spence. This was not just a money grab, he legitimately thought he could beat Spence. Danny was very confident after the Porter fight and thought the same.

Mikey later commented on this saying that the Spence fight was actually for slightly more money but the DAZN offer indeed was great and for around the same amount.

This is why it is hilarious when people say Mikey was just looking to cash out. Nah, he could have fought inferior fighters for great money at DAZN but that's not what he wanted. I mean look at him now, he's still campaigning at 147 and if he can't get Pacquiao, watch him get someone like Thurman or DSG.

I know for sure that Ducky Garcia would have beaten Loma. But Ducky knew there was a slight chance he'd lose that fight so he wanted to sell his 0 to Spence for more money and less risk to his reputation, it's as simple as that. Both Loma and Ducky are a disgrace to boxing.

Very likely. Mikey is 147 fighter now. he wouldn`t even fight Lomachenko at 135, he can`t make that weight.

Lomachenko didn't want to face him so soon after his surgery though. So he kept pushing it down the road.

Eventually Mikey just said screw it and went and got his money against Spence.
