Who is the better boxer: Canelo Alvarez or Errol Spence?

    They are both pretty well-rounded.

I'd say Canelo has better counter-punching and head movement, while Spence has the better jab, better footwork, and work rate.

Who impresses you more with their mastery of the sweet science?

        Canelo without a doubt.

When Spence can stand i front of you and make you miss a 5 punch combo without running and just moving his head let me know.

When Spence can completely neutralize a 6’3” fighter with 40lb on him let me know.

For pure boxing Canelo seems better to me because he gets hit clean much less than Spence and is more accurate with his punches. Spence has better stamina and work rate than Canelo. Spence averages about 800 punches thrown in a 12 round fight compared to about 500 punches thrown by Canelo in a 12 round fight.

Some fighters may be better in certain departments but overall skill nobody comes close to Canelo ATM.

I don`t remember Spence needed any gift to win any fight.

Canelo and your analysis of both fighters is pretty spot on. Canelo's head/upper body movement is his greatest strenght IMO

You're sure about that? I think Bud is up there with him. Bud is so much more mobile than Canelo and can switch at will. Not a bad counter puncher either. You also have guys like Fury who I believe are more skilled than Canelo. Fury's footwork and feint game is head and shoulders above Canelo's. And again, a very good power puncher. More elusive than he is too.
