If they sit down at the table and compare numbers it's not a 50/50 fight at all.

Spence has significantly higher attendance figures and PPVs sold as well as more belts.

There is nothing to justify an even split.

Crawford should take the 60-40 just like Floyd took less against Gatti and De La Hoya.

How long have you followed prize fighting? Since fights were in black and white the fighter who generates the majority of the prize gets the majority of the prize. Has nothing to do with who is projected to win

in those cases it was always bob arum protecting an "earner" of his from possibly losing to floyd....and it couldnt have been any more obvious

even fat dan, who used to sing pacs praises(he didnt stop really he just told it like it was), said that it was arum that was holding up pac/floyd...bob was going nutty with excuses and even set up a fake countdown clock on the TR website for floyd to accept a deal floyd never even got lol

as soon as cotto broke out of his TR contract the floyd fight was done with the swiftness....

bob hates fighters having control and he hates a black man having being a power broker in the sport...he loves subservient ********** who depend on him

im not sure exactly what his angle is here with bud right now...but i suspect they know they just have to play the waiting game and wait till spence is out of real options....

but its very odd that before the mean machine fight bob kept saying they were targeting porter next.....then after that fight kenny porter said " call us we can make that" alluding that he had haymons blessing....and a week later bud was asked about it on a camera at a fight and bud said "thats not on our radar" and instead goes to fight a guy that spence stopped 3 years ago and didnt even try to offer a fight to a guy that pushed buds supposed rival in a FOTY candidate.....that says alot

If Spence was a true warrior instead of an egomaniac, he would demand to face Crawford at a 50/50 split just to prove his greatness and establish his legacy. These guys today are a joke. Did Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Leonard, Hearns, Hagler, Duran, etc. act like prima donnas and avoid big fights by making silly purse demands? Hell no, they were warriors who demanded to face the other elites.

A lot of casuals don’t seem to get what goes on behind the scenes.
But in Crawford-Spence case, they must fight next year. There is no avoiding each other.

If anything Crawford fighting Porter is a step up and I’d give Porter a chance to upset him.
