No I won’t remind you about Crawford and Khan’s numbers because I don’t know Crawford and Khan’s numbers cause I don’t care about their numbers. I don’t care if Crawford gets paid more or less to fight Spence. Its none of my business or yours. The numbers are only being talked about because they are Errol Spence’s excuse and he is using it to the fullest. This is a discussion that the fans shouldn’t even be a part of. And the only reason we are is because Errol Spence wanted it that way as a diversion and an excuse to not face a fighter that he doesn’t think he can beat.

He knows that Crawford's leaving Top Rank in a few months. Why torpedo the fight before then?

Now, I always gave both of these guys the benefit of the doubt, but now this looks like Spence is pulling what Canelo pulled against GGG when he didn't want to fight him and what AJ pulled against Wilder when he didn't want to fight him, a "we're gonna purposely lowball with a number that's disrespectful to you as a champion, so we can say you're the one that don't want to fight" type offer

p4p rankings are nice...they are mythical....they carry some weight but not alot....whats damning is arums comments about him losing money on him and him not selling....even if haymon were losing money on spence you wont hear it......even if its just bob thinking bud is leaving and hes doing a sabotage job on bud its not a good look

you can argue to death about spences opponents and how they helped sell ppvs...you can say whatever you want but spence has 3 somewhat successful ppvs....

its nice that bud is a p4p guy and headlines on espn...that alone isnt going to carry too much weight when it comes to tha tables

if you think bud is leaving top rank in a few months what would be the rush for spence when its possible that haymon could make a push for bud? how does bud leaving top rank possibly make spence in some magical rush to make the fight tomorrow? what does spence care?

It's great that you're a fan and just want to see good fights.

But this is a business so the numbers matter.

A fighter that has spent time growing his reputation and drawing power isn't going to take less money than he deserves just to please you. That's not realistic.

kovalev was high on p4p lists....and andre ward supposedly couldnt draw flies....ward also didnt have a fan friendly style and ward was the guy coming up in weight.....now tell me what ward made vs what kov made?

being p4p ranked means little....bud has a small buzz...but his own guy is talking **** on his ability to generate money....spence is still doing ppvs and has been at cowboys games and done fights in the stadium

Everything you said was on point except the Joshua-Wilder thing. At least Crawford and Spence are similar in levels if popularity. Anthony Joshua and Wilder were not and still are not similar in levels of popularity. Anthony Joshua is at least 5 times more popular than Wilder.

If there was even an iota of truth to what you’re saying about Spence building his reputation and drawing power then I would not be arguing against it. But its just a weak excuse and a PR tactic. He’s not the first to use this tactic. This is actually something that Bob Arum perfected in his war against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Its so ironic that now Al Haymon and his fighters are using the same tactic. There is no fight out there that can give Spence the fame that he claims to already have other than Crawford.
