  • Comments Thread For: Joshua: I'll Make Serious Offer To Fury, If He Doesn't Take It I'll Fight Usyk

Anthony Joshua says he wants to fight Tyson Fury next and says the fight will happen as long as Fury is serious about it. Joshua, the WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF heavyweight champion, did not call out Fury's name after his knockout victory over Kubrat Pulev this month and says he is interested in the fight taking place not the endless talk about it.

A fight the public wants to see irrespective of who you think will win.
Why make a "serious" offer to fight another champ.
Does everyone have to make Fury an offer to fight him now!!
Why not negotiate and come to terms away from the public and announce it at the appropriate time.
    Lets GO!!!

Even with Tyson being mentally ill, having the comorbidity issue with substance misuse, and a history of booty chatter, I would never ever believe a word Edward Hearn had to say about contracts, offers, etc etc. I have never seen a promoter bluntly lie about such matters in an attempt to gin up some sort of brokdyk social media campaign by his legions of casual DKSAB boy band fan girl trolls.
Edward believes that if he makes you an offer and you turn it down because you won’t sign your career over to him, fight on his app, after attacking you on ifl for his “time to put the kettle on” They Live (80s movie) fans then you somehow “don’t want the fight.”
        Worst promoter since Don King

Tge same old problem with Hearn at with fight that Joshua has there's got to be a rematch clause. So Ussyk doesn't step aside once but twice. I agree with this fight for the greater good of boxing should go ahead but only on a one fight deal. Otherwise every other heavyweight has to wait until 2022 this is unacceptable. So Hearn if you have faith in Joshua no rematch clause.

Looks like AJ is now the one who's been triggered by Fury's provocation.
Time for AJ to induct himself into the IDGAF category.

They've already agreed 50/50 split. If Fury doesn't take it it's a duck, plain and simple.

I thought a 50/50 split was already agreed though?

I mean personally I think this is too generous for Fury. Yes he’s acknowledged as the no.1 fighter in the division, but when does rankings alone decide purse splits? Didn’t matter for Golovkin in his Alvarez fights did it, or for many others for that matter. The fact Fury’s promoters couldn’t put together enough money for a UK homecoming fight this month, while the Fury-Wilder UK PPV numbers remain hidden to this day is proof enough.

Anyway I guess this shouldn’t be our concern as fans, but props to AJ for going out of his way and sacrificing his purse split to try and make this happen.
