Yes but the word “cut” means the % of the total pie you ge. A 30% cut means you get 30% slice of the pie.
It’s not a 30% discount off a shelf at the supermarket!
Anyhow no idea how you would think this is true. Where’s your info for this? dazn for example have absolutely no reason to put in a 50% max split for the fighter, it’s not in their interests.
They would leave that not completely down to the fighter, promoter and management team to agree their appropriate splits within the money given to them.
There is 30% cut of the pie and there is "my salary got cut by 30%". He probably meant the latter.
