    Fury is getting underrated again

    It's music to my ears.

AJ beats up and stops an old man he was expected to win against and suddenly all his fans believe he's a beast.

As a Fury fan, I like this, why?

    1) Fury performs better as the underdog, the more people that write him off, the more he gets determined to prove everyone wrong as usual.

    2) Boxing experts know that Fury is the favorite, but when the Sky Sports hype machine starts going, casuals are going to put their life savings on AJ, the odds will get a lot closer and thus I'll make far more money when Fury wins.

Fury isn't a morbidly obese Andy Ruiz or a 39yr old Pulev.

It's because many of people around here act like children -- if e.g. Joshua beats someone as Pulev or Alvarez beats someone as Smith -- they start to believe these winners are monsters who not only can beat everybody in their weight but also everybody else in higher classes, no matter strength and skills. It's laughabble.

      Joshua fans are cancer tbh.

Fury fans gave props to Joshua for his performance against Pulev, I did anyway.

AJ fans can't give Fury any credit whatsoever, it's really sad.

Ah well, it's only gonna make Furys victory over him all the more satisfying.

I’m hoping we get close to evens with the bookies. I think the casuals will lump on AJ which should allow us to cash in when Fury outclasses him.

Yeah, the Pulev performance appears to have given AJ fans their balls back.

I’d love if Joshua was the favourite. With fury’s mentality it’d play right into his hands. I think the fact that it’s “close to call” still pisses fury off. I think fury brings the heat and outclasses Joshua

Personally I think fury is massively overrated and have said it a number of times.

He beat Klitschko on points in a match of barely any punches. Had he lost there wouldn’t have been any shouts for a rematch that’s for sure. People seem to think that was massively one sided but feel free to rewatch it because it really wasn’t. (I don’t really recommend rewatching it because it was boring as hell!)

Wilder , on my opinion, is his only super win - one in which there was no question of his dominant display.

He got knocked down to Cunningham.

He’s been knocked down a couple times to wilder - remember that wilder isn’t really a boxer at all; in a fight he was fractions of a second from a loss and manage to survive for a draw.

He could easily have been stopped vs Wallin; I think a huge proportion of referees would have stopped that fight.

He got very lucky to be given a win vs Mcdermett; many felt he lost that fight.

Fury didn’t manage to get knock outs versus the likes of Schwarz, Wallin , Kevin Johnson (I know he’s tough but if he’s that good he would have), Zack page, etc.

None of above is to discredit him but it’s just to prove he is human, can be caught, can go down and can lose fights. Joshua is one of the best “boxers” he has fought even if you believe he (fury) is the best in the world. The big difference is Joshua can also hurt too and hence he has KO’d many high level fighters including Pulev, Povetkin, Klitschko, whyte, Takam, etc

If the fight were to happen today fury would be favourite with the bookies but for me the evidence all suggests my money is far safer going to Joshua who has proven across many tough fights he has the ability to win.

Tyson Fury is not a underdog vs Joshua.

People perform or like being underdogs because? There is less pressure.

Tyson Fury at elite level, against another elite level opponent has never been a favorite 'This will be a new experience for him facing Joshua'.

That's fair enough. There is a ridiculous swing in opinions from one fight to the next, Joshua did well against Pulev but Pulev isn't Fury yet ppl have gone from one extreme to the other based on that performance against that Boxer. It's guna be a good fight. I think anybody with any common sense would atleast slightly favour Fury.

If I was Joshua, I would never fight Fury. That is the fight Joshua can`t win.

Joshua went life and death with 400 old Klitschko, beat Parker holding the whole time, lost to somebody like Ruiz. There is nothing to suggest he can beat Fury.

The only way Joshua makes it close is if he reopens Fury`s cut, but cuts are pure luck.

Fury by KO inside 8 rounds.
